The Tournament
The Format
The International Cerveza Golf Cup is designed for ‘competitive and friendly participation’ for golfers of all abilities. The Tournament Format bears this out. Golfer from scratch to ‘occasional golfers’ are welcomed, and each ‘team’ will consist of four golfing participants. A beer-industry company may enter one or ‘multiple’ teams based on availability. The tournament field is limited to 50 teams. The tournament will be held over 36-holes (Thursday and Friday). An optional practice round along with an assortment of events/activities are available on Wednesday.
The tournament will be held on the two fabulous courses at the Vista Vallarta Golf Club (Nicklaus and Weiskopf Courses). The 36-hole event features a scramble format on one round, and a best-ball of foursome the other.
Activities & Entertainment
The International Cerveza Golf Cup is filled with activities and entertainment designed to maximize the entire experience. This combines the many and varied attributes of beautiful Puerto Vallarta along with the stunning setting and ambiance of our host hotel, The Westin Puerto Vallarta Resort and Spa. These include:
1. Parties
- The Opening ceremonies includes dinner and drinks, and the full entertainment extravaganza.
- Wednesday and Thursday evenings will feature ‘event parties’ at the Westin. These parties will feature cocktails and canapes, along with live entertainment.
- The Closing Awards Gala will be held on the spectacular ‘El Patio’ at the Westin. Tonight will be a night to remember, with music, dancing, entertainment, and the awarding of prizes, awards, trophies, and the crowning of the 2023 International Cerveza Golf Cup Champions.
2. Activities
- The golfers will play at Vista Vallarta each morning. Following golf, lunch is served (along with beers, soft drinks, margaritas, cigars).
- Wednesday is an optional golf day. Those not wishing to golf will have their choice of an Adventure day. The Adventure experience will be at the famous Canopy zip line tour, and afterwards shuttled to the harbor to hop on a jet boat for an exhilarating tour of the Bay of Banderas. Lunch and drinks provided.
3. The Entertainers
- We are blessed to have The Championship All-Star Band joining us for the Final Awards Gala Dinner Party. The band is truly an international ensemble of world-class musicians with careers spanning a lifetime. This group ONLY gets together to play at events operated by Championship Golf, while performing in bands and individually throughout the world the rest of the year. The Championship Golf All-Star Band includes six musicians from New York, Canada, and New Zealand, each with extensive credentials and resumes of note. Included in the band is a 2022 Grammy Award Winner!
Included in the Tournament
- Entry for four golfing participants.
- 5 days / 4 nights deluxe single room accommodation at the Westin Puerto Vallarta Resort and Spa.
- Breakfast daily at the hotel.
- Ground transportation. Airport/hotel/golf course/airport – and all included activities.
- Two rounds of tournament play at the Vista Vallarta Golf Club.
- Lunch, beer, soft drinks, margaritas at golf daily.
- One practice round (Wednesday) at Vista Vallarta OR adventure activity of participant’s choice.
- Opening Welcome Party at the Westin (dinner/drinks/entertainment).
- Wednesday & Thursday evening reception party at the Westin.

Tournament Awards, Prizes, & Gifts
Welcome Gifts:
The tournament welcome gifts will be plentiful. ‘Team golf shirts and hats’ for each of the tournament rounds (with your company logo) are just part of the extensive welcome-gift package. Non-golfing guests will also receive a welcome gift pack emblematic of their participation.
Tournament awards and prizes:
The International Cerveza Golf Cup Perennial Trophy will have the name of the winning team engraved (along with the four golfing participants). This beautiful trophy will be shipped to the company headquarters requested by the winning team, to be proudly housed until next year’s event.
Winning team members in each of the four flight divisions (flight divisions based on the handicaps/abilities of team members) will be presented with special hand-made trophies at the Awards Gala Dinner Party on Friday evening.
In addition – Prizes including golf equipment, golf trips, and an assortment of other merchandize and surprises will be presented. An assortment of competitions on and off the course, as well as drawings will continue throughout the program, with everyone eligible to win – from the golfing novice to the scratch-golfer!
Entry Fee
The Entry Fee and Entry Process:
The tournament entry fee for a full team (4 golfers): $14,950.00
*Optional Special Rate for Non golfing guest (sharing room with golfing participant) is welcome to join at an additional $650
Entry process and details:
To enter, a team must submit the Team Entry Form. If entering during the NBWA Showcase, deposits must be paid prior to January 15th to qualify for the NBWA Showcase Special. Deposits are fully refundable if team(s) cancel in writing prior to April 1, 2023.
